To celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity, the International Seed Federation have produced a video highlighting the importance of protecting biodiversity right from the beginning of a crop. Our food security is, according to the industry, dependant on seed diversity. The seed sector promotes seed security and seed diversity by supporting seed banks, and creating higher yielding varieties that can overcome environmental pressures brought on by climate change and protect the surrounding habitats.
