Members of Farming First will be attending the FANRPAN Annual High Level Regional Food Security Policy Dialogue 2010 in Windhoek, Namibia from 30 August to 3 September. This year’s theme is “Livestock & Fisheries Policies for Food Security and Trade in a Changing Climate.”

Farming First has launched its “Guide to Food Security Initiatives“, outlining global and regional responses to addressing food security. In the guide, Farming First urges leaders to (1) promote a clear joint focus on a common global goal for food security (2) encourage increased transparency on how much and in what areas these pledged funds have been committed and (3) engage a wide range of stakeholders to ensure coordinated, clear, collaborative action.
